Where Have I Been?
Supporting Offices, One Conversion at a Time
By Stacey Feidt, Training & Development Coordinator, SKF Practice Solutions
If you’ve been wondering why it’s been a little quiet on my blogs lately…
The short answer?
I’ve been on the move — helping dental offices across the country work smarter, reduce chaos, and finally feel in control of their Open Dental systems.
I used to publish a couple blog posts a month, but lately, I’ve been deep in what I love most: being hands-on with dental teams — both in person and behind the scenes.
Here’s a quick look at what I’ve been up to so far in 2025:
January
We kicked off the year with a full Open Dental conversion, helping a practice transition smoothly and start off strong with a clean foundation.
February
I was on-site again, this time not just to train, but to help a team work smarter, not harder. We simplified some of their daily routines and gave them tools to reduce friction in their workflow.
March
Another month, another on-site training and conversion. It’s always powerful to watch the shift that happens once a team actually understands how to use their system with confidence.
April
In Pennsylvania, I supported a practice through another conversion and helped the team get grounded in Open Dental with custom training and support.
May
May was a full one!
I attended the AADOM Insurance Symposium — Navigating the Complexities of Dental Insurance Together — in Virginia. It was an incredible experience connecting with other professionals who truly understand the challenges dental teams face with insurance. We shared stories, solutions, and walked away better equipped to help offices thrive.
From there, I traveled to Ohio for yet another Open Dental conversion — making sure that team had everything they needed to feel supported and set up for success.
Behind the Scenes: Deep Optimization in Motion
While I’ve been traveling, I’ve also been doing a ton of work behind the scenes with offices who are looking to clean up, streamline, and optimize their existing systems.
One client recently completed RCM training, where we focused on bringing clarity and control back to their A/R and insurance workflows.
Other offices took on a full optimization package after their Comprehensive Software Exam. We’re now working together to clean up, re-train, and rebuild systems to better support their long-term success.
This kind of work doesn’t always show up in photos — but it’s some of the most meaningful. Because when teams feel like they finally have control over their systems, everything shifts.
Why I’m Sharing This
I believe in transparency.
And I also believe that when you’re choosing someone to help your practice, you should know what they’ve actually been doing.
This work isn’t just my job — it’s my passion.
Every office has a different story.
Some are just getting started.
Some are buried under outdated systems and miscommunication.
Some are ready to optimize and finally feel like things are running smoothly.
Wherever you are in the journey — I’ve probably been there with someone else.
And I’m here to help when you’re ready.
Thanks for sticking with me while the blog’s been quiet — I’m back, re-inspired, and excited to share more stories, tips, and tools with you in the months ahead.
